About
Red Ramshorn Snails (Planorbarius corneus or Planorbella duryi) are a selectively bred red colour variant that has become extremely popular in European planted tanks for their striking appearance and algae-grazing abilities. They eat soft algae, decaying plant matter and leftover food, acting as efficient tank cleaners. They will breed readily in the aquarium.
